"The Music Ministry is one of many ministries that serve at the table of the Lord. Our Sacred Liturgy is the summit towards which the activity of the Church is directed; at the same time it is the fount from which all her power flows."
"To celebrate liturgy is to worship God. Doing so requires planning, preparation and a servants heart. According to the Second Vatican Council, the Church, desires that 'all the faithful be led to . . . full, conscious, and active participation in liturgical celebrations.'"
"Our parish offers numerous opportunities for liturgical ministry. We invite you to share your gifts and talents for the glory of God in the Sunday and weekday liturgical celebrations, on holy days, at weddings, funerals and reconciliation services."

The Church goes on to teach that music is integral to the liturgy and is one of the Church’s most valuable treasures.
The principal choir of our community sings primarily at the 9:00 am Sunday Mass and at all major parish celebrations. Rehearsals are Thursdays from 7:15 - 9:15 p.m. in the church There is no audition or prerequisite to read music in order to join! Only your love of music, a desire to sing and your commitment are re-“choired.” Our rewards are many and our retirement plan is out of this world!
This choir is for 3rd - 8th grade students. They lead the music on Sundays, solemnities, and at other special parish gatherings. Members learn basic voice and choral techniques as well as liturgical and catechetical lessons. Adult assistants, with or without musical experience, are needed. Rehearsals are Tuesdays from 4:15 -6:00 p.m. in the church.
A Cantor’s first ministry is to lead the singing of the psalms when the people of God, the Church, gather for worship. When a choir is not present, the cantor leads the assembly in all its sung prayer. Auditions are required and training is on an individual basis.
Our group ministers through contemporary music, this is where we really raise the roof. Drums, guitars, and other instruments combine to praise the Lord with an upbeat sound. Members are both young people and adults. We sing every Sunday at 5:00 pm mass. Practice is every Tuesday at 7pm in the church; instruments arrive to set-up at 6:45pm. Sundays set-up is at 3:30 pm and warm-up begins at 4:00.
Different instrumentalists enhance our worship by adding their talents and gifts regularly to the liturgies both with and without a choir. “Praise God with the sound of the trumpet, lute and lyre!”
