Holy Week and Triduum: At Home with Jesus

Holy Week

Holy week encompasses Palm Sunday and the Triduum. This week is meant to be different than a normal week, as we remember the pivotal events that occur for the sake of our salvation.  The word 'holy' is the cue as it means that this is special and set apart from the ordinary. Adding special prayers this week, perform a foot washing for each family member on Holy Thursday, eat a traditional Passover meal, read the book of Exodus over the week as a family, or even taking time each day for silent time with God can make this week holy.

Triduum

The Triduum is liturgically one day, celebrated for three days. It marks the end of Lent and starts with Mass of the Lord's Supper, Good Friday of the Lord's Passion, and ends with the Mass of the Resurrection of the Lord.
