Our parish recently joined a nationwide effort to increase outreach and support for pregnant and parenting mothers entitled, Walking with Moms in Need. As part of this initiative, CtR will be taking an inventory of the pregnancy and parenting resources currently available in our local area, identifying gaps, and planning and implementing responses to better serve mothers in need. These resources cover a range of material, emotional, or spiritual needs for women and children of any age, stage, or socioeconomic status.
If you need help in your pregnancy or parenting, please contact
WalkingWithMoms@ctrcc.com. We would love to talk with you and connect you with the resources available. Know that we have been praying for you already.
Pope Francis reminds us that our parishes need to be “islands of mercy in the midst of a sea of indifference.” Everyone in the parish community should know where to refer a pregnant woman or parent in need.
If you are interested in being a part of gathering resources, praying, and accompanying moms in need, please sign up for our Flocknote group for updates.

O Blessed Mother, you received the good news of the incarnation of Christ, your Son, with faith and trust. Grant your protection to all pregnant mothers facing difficulties.
Guide us as we strive to make our parish communities places of welcome and assistance for mothers in need. Help us become instruments of God’s love and compassion.
Mary, Mother of the Church, graciously help us build a culture of life and a civilization of love, together with all people of good will, to the praise and glory of God, the Creator and lover of life. Amen.
