Playground

The Christ the Redeemer Playground is a nature-based play-scape designed to encourage exploration and movement featuring natural elements found in the wonder of God’s creation. This will also give us many opportunities to expand the curriculum and bring the indoor classroom outside. The Christ the Redeemer Playground is used for exploration and adventure by the students of Genesis Early Childhood Program and the Pre-K 3 through 2nd grades at CtR Catholic School. The playground is also used as a service opportunity for Catholic school students in grades 5-7 and the CtR Youth Ministry Program.

The playground was designed by Halcyon Reese-Learned, of Nature Playscapes. She holds a master’s degree in early childhood education and a doctorate in developmental psychology.
