Click to find out the answer to the question, "Why Be a Catechist?"
As active and practicing Catholics, catechists share their faith and wisdom with the children of CtR. By using texts and materials provided by well known Catholic publishers, catechists lead our younger seekers with the help of additional resources provided by the R.E. staff. Joining the Catechetical Ministry Team as a catechist is not just teaching the children of CtR, but also witnessing to and sharing personal faith experiences. Each catechist teaches one class per week with the help of a co-catechist and/or an aide.Formation Toward Christian Ministry (FTCM)
FTCM is a 108-clock hour process delivered over the course of three semesters. Classes meet in person or online, depending on parish requests. Each class session includes prayer, content presentation, and group dynamics. Each semester also includes participation in a Day of Reflection as a means to integrate content into daily living.

Catechetical Modules
Catechetic Modules are an important part of the Catechist Formation process. They are designed to provide formation and training in important catechetical skills and teaching methods. Modules are offered in person or online through Capernaum. If you need help finding a Catechetical Module or need more information, please email Linda Watso.
